I like to set some goals. Sometimes I fail, but other times good things come of it! For example, four or five years ago, I resolved to cook something new every week, and that is how my Recipe of the Week club was born. Another year I determined always to untie my shoes before putting them on rather than stuff my feet in and ultimately stretch my shoes out.
This year I have two goals so far:
1) I want to be better at sending out birthday cards ON TIME. I want the special people in my life to know that they are special and that I think they are worth remembering. I have everyone's name/birthday on my wall calendar, and I want to make a point to check it weekly and mail cards out as needed.
2) I want to get in to better physical shape. I have been checking prices at gyms and am trying to make a decision about which one to join. I'd like to go 2 times per week, and work my way up to 3. That is hard with everyone being on different schedules, but it is important to me to stay in good shape. 2015 was a rough year for me...I was too sick to exercise for 1/3 of the year and I think it is really apparent when I try to do something that exerts my body. I don't like that feeling and I want to work my way back to where I have always been. I also wouldn't mind losing 10 pounds, but that is not my primary goal at this time.
What kinds of things do you resolve to do? Lots of people don't make any goals and don't think it is a good idea, which I understand, but I think it is kind of fun sometimes.
